Teens


Today, in 2008, teenagers are bombarded at every angle with pressures from the world. Because of this, it is so vital that THE CHURCH stand up and rescue these teenagers before it is too late. Today’s teen needs to understand that the carnal pleasures of this world, though enjoyable and very tempting, are only temporary; but the consequences of those carnal pleasures can last for a lifetime. TRUE, ETERNAL JOY comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing Him and walking with Him on a daily basis will make life more pleasurable than all of the riches and popularity that can be imagined.The Christian life is exciting! The Christian TEENAGER can have fun that is guilt-free and pure; something the world’s teenager knows nothing about but wishes now that he had known about before. Through Sunday School, monthly activities, Bible studies, youth camp and monthly teen services, MSBC strives to keep our teenagers involved and encouraged to love Christ and the Christian life, and flee from the temptations of this world.

My wife, Jen, and I love serving the Lord here at MSBC. We have a burden for the souls and spirituality of teenagers. We have countless memories of growing up in strong youth groups; those were times that helped to mold and shape us into what the Lord wanted us to be and helped direct us where He wanted us to go. That same thing needs to be true in the lives of OUR teens; great friendships, memorable activities and life-changing Bible study and application. We are EXCITED to see how the Lord is going to work in the lives of our teens.
